The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide information about the processing of personal data by ekoEgles. The Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data of ekoEgles customers, visitors, participants in ekoEgles marketing activities, and partners.

  • 1. The controller of personal data processing is SIA “VIDES TEHNIKA” (hereinafter referred to as ekoEgles), unified registration No. 40103191846, legal address: Čuibes iela 6, Rīga, LV-1063.
  • 2. ekoEgles contact information regarding personal data processing issues is: ofiss@videstehnika.lv. By using this contact information or addressing ekoEgles at its legal address, individuals can obtain information about the personal data processing carried out by ekoEgles. Requests regarding the exercise of data subject rights can be submitted in accordance with point 20 of this Privacy Policy.

Scope of the Document

  • 3. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Definitions, explanations, and categories of data processed by ekoEgles are specified in Annex 1.
  • 4. The Privacy Policy applies to the protection of privacy and personal data with respect to:
    • natural persons - customers and other users of ekoEgles services (including potential, former, and current customers) and associated third parties (contacts, payers, etc.);
    • visitors to ekoEgles websites and social media profiles, and callers to ekoEgles contact person (hereinafter referred to as Customers).
  • 5. The Privacy Policy applies to data processing regardless of the form and/or environment in which ekoEgles processes personal data: on websites, in paper format, or by phone.
  • 6. For certain specific types of data processing (e.g., the use of cookies), additional specific rules may be established, and the Customer will be informed when ekoEgles collects the relevant data.

Purposes of Personal Data Processing

  • 7. ekoEgles processes personal data to identify the customer and to carry out the delivery of goods, as well as for payment administration.
  • 8. To provide information to state administrative bodies and operational entities in cases specified by regulatory acts, as well as for the retention of transaction confirmation documents.

Legal Basis for Personal Data Processing

  • 9. ekoEgles processes Customer personal data based on the following legal grounds:
    • to fulfill the requirements of regulatory enactments - to comply with obligations established by external regulations applicable to ekoEgles;
    • based on the consent of the Customer - data subject.

Personal Data Processing

  • 10. ekoEgles takes care to ensure Customer privacy and the protection of personal data, respecting Customer rights to lawful processing of personal data in accordance with applicable legislation - the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (Regulation), the Personal Data Processing Law, and other applicable laws related to privacy and data processing.
  • 11. ekoEgles processes Customer data with appropriate legal grounds and in compliance with the principles of data minimization and transparency.
  • 12. To fulfill its obligations to you, the Data Controller has the right to transfer your personal data to cooperation partners, data processors who carry out the necessary data processing on our behalf, such as accountants, courier services, etc. The data processor is the controller of personal data. Payment processing is provided by the payment platform makecommerce.lv, so our company transfers the personal data required for payment execution to the platform owner, Maksekeskus AS. Upon request, we may disclose your personal data to state and law enforcement authorities if necessary to protect our legal interests, by drafting, submitting, and defending legal claims.

Personal Data Protection

  • 13. ekoEgles protects Customer data using modern technological capabilities, taking into account existing privacy risks and ekoEgles’ reasonably available organizational, financial, and technical resources, including the following security measures:
    • data encryption during transmission (SSL encryption);
    • firewalls;
    • intrusion detection and prevention systems;
    • other security measures according to current technological advancements.

Duration of Personal Data Storage

  • 14. ekoEgles retains and processes Customer personal data as long as at least one of the following criteria applies:
    • as long as there is a legal obligation for either party to retain the data (e.g., under the Accounting Law, invoices issued to the company must be retained for at least 5 years, etc.);
    • as long as the Customer’s consent for data retention is valid.
  • 15. Once no legal grounds for data processing exist, Customer personal data will be deleted.

Access to Personal Data and Other Customer Rights

  • 16. ekoEgles ensures that the Customer receives all information required by regulatory enactments related to their data processing and facilitates the exercise of all rights provided for in regulatory enactments.
  • 17. The Customer has the right to request access to their personal data, as well as to request ekoEgles to amend, correct, or delete that data, provide a copy of the data, object to the processing of their data, request a limitation on data processing, and ensure data portability.
  • 18. ekoEgles fulfills data subject requests to the extent they do not conflict with ekoEgles’ obligations imposed by applicable regulatory enactments.
  • 19. The Customer can submit a request to exercise their rights:
    • in writing at the legal address, presenting an identity document;
    • by email, signed with a secure electronic signature.
  • 20. Upon receiving a Customer’s request to exercise their rights, ekoEgles verifies the Customer's identity, evaluates the request, and fulfills it in accordance with regulatory enactments.
  • 21. If the Customer wishes to receive information containing personal data, ekoEgles will send a response to the Customer's specified contact address by registered mail or deliver it in person, taking into account the Customer's indicated preferred method of receiving the response.
  • 22. In case of any Customer objections, the Customer has the right to contact ekoEgles using the contact information provided in this Privacy Policy. Upon receiving a complaint or objection, ekoEgles will promptly ensure its consideration and address any potential shortcomings.
  • 23. If the Customer is dissatisfied with ekoEgles’ actions regarding the consideration of objections or the rectification of potential shortcomings, they have the right to contact the supervisory authority - the Data State Inspectorate.

Customer Consent for Data Processing and Rights to Withdraw

  • 24. The Customer has the right to withdraw consent for data processing at any time in the same manner it was given, by writing to ofiss@videstehnika.lv. In the case of withdrawal of consent, further data processing based on previously given consent for a specific purpose will cease.
  • 25. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of data processing that occurred while the Customer's consent was valid.
  • 26. After the Customer's withdrawal of consent for data processing, ekoEgles has the right to process Customer data that has another legal basis for processing.

Communication with the Customer

  • 27. ekoEgles communicates with the Customer using the contact information provided by the Customer (phone number, email address, postal address).

Website Visits and Cookie Processing

  • 28. ekoEgles websites may contain links to third-party websites that have their own terms of use and privacy policies, for which ekoEgles bears no responsibility.

Other Provisions

  • 29. ekoEgles reserves the right to make additions to the Privacy Policy, making the current version available to the Customer by posting it on the ekoEgles website.
  • 30. This version of ekoEgles Privacy Policy comes into effect on October 24, 2024.
